Step into a 2-hour immersive experience where music, dance, and somatic release come together to awaken your body and spirit. Somatic Ecstatic Dance invites you to express yourself freely, moving from within, guided by the power of somatic release techniques such as breathwork, touch, visualization, and sounding. The dance serves as a moving meditation, allowing you to explore your inner resources and capacities – while tapping into the essence of joy and having FUN!
The journey begins with a short, grounding meditation to center yourself, followed by a dance guided by a trained facilitator. A carefully curated soundscape will help you sink deeper and deeper into embodied, free movement. We’ll close with a peaceful moment of stillness and rest. After the dance, you’ll be given prompts for journaling, so consider bringing a notebook and pen to write down any thoughts or ideas that emerge during the practice. You will also have the opportunity to share your experiences with the group, if you'd like.
No prior experience in dance or somatics is required — this practice is open to all bodies and abilities. The dance is not about looking graceful or "cool," but discovering your most authentic movement, whether that’s shaking from head to toe or gently swaying back and forth (or anything in between). There are no rules here — just the freedom to dance as you are!

The workshop can be held in either Finnish or English, based on the participants' preferences.
Price: 30/25€
Cancellation policy: Cancellations must be made no later than 72 hours before the event starts, either through the booking system or by email to hello@pranamahelsinki.com. For cancellations made after this time or for no-shows, a fee of 30€ per instance will be charged. Free cancellations due to illness are allowed only with a reliable document, such as a medical certificate. By registering for the event, you agree to comply with the cancellation policy.
